Joan Marshall

Joan Marshall, born as Joan Schrepfermann ( born June 19, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois; † 28 June 1992 in Jamaica ) was an American actress.

Life

Joan Marshall suffered as a child with polio, which affected in a temporary paralysis. Nevertheless, she managed already to work at an early age as a dancer, first in Chicago and later in Las Vegas. In 1945, she debuted in a small role in the movie The Chicago Kid. In the 1950s and 1960s she performed in a number of television series, including Gunsmoke, 77 Sunset Strip, Star Trek, Bonanza and I Spy. In 1964, she starred in a unaired pilot episode of the series The Munsters Herman Munster's the role of wife Phoebe (later Lily ). Shortly thereafter, Joan Marshall was replaced by Yvonne De Carlo.

Her most famous movie appearance she completed under the name of Jean Arless in William Castle thriller Homicidal ( 1961). After a brief appearance in the film Shampoo ( 1975), she ended her acting career.

Joan Marshall was married several times, from 1969 to 1971 in the second (according to author Nick Dawson in third ) marriage with the director Hal Ashby. She had two children, Sheri and Stephen, the latter died in 1972 at the age of 22 years.
