Joanna of Rožmitál

Johanna von Rosental († November 12, 1475 ) ( Czech Johana Rožmitálu z ), was Bohemian Queen and wife of King George of Podiebrad. She came from the Bohemian nobility Rosental.

Life

The second wife of the Czech king had two brothers and a sister. Even though her family belonged to the Catholic camp, her father and her uncle sympathized with the Hussites. After the death of the first wife of George, who had died at the birth of twins, married in 1450, the widower with five children, Johanna.
