Joanna Stone

Joanna " Jo " Stone, married. Joanna Stone - Nixon ( born October 4, 1972 in London ) is a former Australian javelin thrower.

1994, grew up in England Stone Australian champion was in the javelin and finished in the same year at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria in fourth place. At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995, she was fifth.

At the World Athletics Championships 1997 in Athens, she scored the biggest success of her career. With a personal best jump of 68.64 meters, she won the silver medal behind Trine Hattestad ( 68.78 m ) and before Tanja Damaske ( 67.12 m). In their victory at the Athletics World Cup 1998 in Johannesburg Stone boosted their best performance to 69.85 m.

She also competed at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta in part and in Sydney in 2000, but failed both times in qualifying.

Joanna Stone is 1,72 m tall and had a competition weight of 63 kg.
