Joanne Calderwood
Joanne Calderwood ( born December 23, 1986 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish Muay Thai champion and professional MMA fighter. Currently, she is ranked 7 of the " Unified Women's MMA Rankings " in the straw weight ( 52 kg ).
Life
Calderwood started her Muay Thai career by accident. At the age of 13, she filled in for a friend of her brother and accompanied him to the muay thai training, resulting ultimately developed a passion for which she ended her career as a competitive swimmer. After a short time they are no longer trained only 2 days a week, but twice a day. During this time she worked after high school in order to support social causes. After some time, she joined the training camp and devoted himself entirely to the martial arts.

Calderwood started with Muay Thai in 2000 and 2009 was " STBA Fighter of the Year". She is the current ISKA World Champion, IKF European Champion, ' WKL European champion and WBC champion UK; each flyweight. In the World Professional Muay Thai Federation it is ranked second
Mixed - martial-arts career
Joanne Calderwood was Scotland's first professional MMA fighter. Your first professional fight against Noellie Molina won by TKO in the first round.
Then they fought in the third event of the "India's Super Fight League's " against Lena Ovchynnikova and won by unanimous judges decision on points.
