Joanne Calderwood

Joanne Calderwood ( born December 23, 1986 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish Muay Thai champion and professional MMA fighter. Currently, she is ranked 7 of the " Unified Women's MMA Rankings " in the straw weight ( 52 kg ).

Life

Calderwood started her Muay Thai career by accident. At the age of 13, she filled in for a friend of her brother and accompanied him to the muay thai training, resulting ultimately developed a passion for which she ended her career as a competitive swimmer. After a short time they are no longer trained only 2 days a week, but twice a day. During this time she worked after high school in order to support social causes. After some time, she joined the training camp and devoted himself entirely to the martial arts.
