João Gomes Bridge

The Ponte João Gomes is a road bridge on the Portuguese island of Madeira. It spans at Funchal, the valley of the Ribeira de João Gomes. The bridge was built from 1991 by the architect António Reis and opened in 1994. For his work, Rice won the 1997 Prémio Secil.

The bridge extends to a length of 274.5 meters and has a height of 140 meters.
