Joaquín Mariano Sucunza

Joaquín Mariano Sucunza (* February 15, 1946 in Pamplona, Spain) is auxiliary bishop and diocesan administrator in Buenos Aires.

Life

Joaquín Mariano Sucunza received on 27 November 1971, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On July 22, 2000, Pope John Paul II appointed titular bishop of Saetabis and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Buenos Aires. The Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Jorge Mario Bergoglio SJ, gave him on 21 October of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Buenos Aires, Mario José Serra and Guillermo Leaden SDB. Joaquín Mariano Sucunza is also vicar general of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. On March 21, 2013, he was elected diocesan administrator of his diocese.
