Guillermo Leaden

Guillermo Leaden SDB ( born July 20, 1913 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is Roman Catholic Bishop Emeritus of Buenos Aires.

Life

Guillermo Leaden, the grandson of Irish immigrants, attended the Irish College in San Antonio de Areco and entered the Congregation of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Bernal at. He studied philosophy and theology, and received on 23 November 1941, the ordination. Subsequently, he was a teacher in Chile and Uruguay and director of the Salesian schools San Antonio, St. Catherine and St. Francis de Sales, all in Buenos Aires.

In 1975 he was called by Pope Paul VI. appointed Titular Bishop of Theudalis and appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Buenos Aires. He received his episcopal consecration on August 8, 1975, the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Juan Carlos Cardinal Aramburu; Were co-consecrators Bishop of Morón, Miguel Raspanti SDB, and Bishop of Río Gallegos, Miguel Angel Aleman Eslava.
