Jochen Meißner

Jochen Meissner ( born May 8, 1943 in Stuttgart ) was a German rower rowing club from Mannheim Amicitia, of the silver medal in the one won at the 1968 Olympic Games behind the Dutchman Jan Wienese and ahead of Argentine Alberto Demiddi.

Meissner rowed to 1964 in the lightweight class, but rose to heavyweight rowing. Jochen Meissner won in 1965 as a complete surprise to the race course Duisburg- Wedau the European Championship. In 1966 he won the bronze medal at the World Championships and 1969 again bronze at the European Championships. From 1965 to 1968 Meissen German master was in one. At the Olympic Games in 1972 Meissner met with Arthur Heyne in the double sculls at the two reached the B final and occupied the tenth place.
