Joe Doyle

Joseph "Joe" Doyle ( * June 1, 1936; † August 8, 2009 in Blackrock, County Dublin) is an Irish politician (Fine Gael ).

Doyle grew up in the Dublin suburb of Donnybrook. He was from 1982 from 1987 the Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament, at. After he was defeated at the elections in 1987, he succeeded instead in the Seanad Éireann to be the House of Lords chosen. This was followed by another term in Dáil Éireann from 1989 to 1992, before Doyle again from 1993 to 2002 the Seanad Éireann belonged.

Doyle was also from 1979 to 2004 Member of the City Council of Dublin. As such, he held from July 1998 to July 1999, the Office of the Mayor of (Lord Mayor of Dublin).

Doyle was married and had three children.
