Joe Keenan (footballer)

Joseph John "Joe" Keenan ( born October 14, 1982 in Southampton, England) is an English footballer. He is currently in Australia at the South Melbourne FC under contract, which is active in the Victorian Premier League.

Keenan's career began in the English top club Chelsea FC, where he could never take off due to injuries and other factors. His worst injury, a broken leg, he retired in October 2002 against the reserve team of FC Arsenal. His debut for Chelsea, he was the same year when he was a substitute against Aston Villa for John Terry. In 2003, he joined the Belgian Jupiler League for KVC Westerlo. About the Brentford FC and Eastbourne Borough in the years 2005 and 2006 in England and Willem II Tilburg in the Dutch Eredivisie ( 2006-2007 ), he came in 2007 to the Australian first division club Melbourne Victory. Again, it did not take long Keenan and so he moved to the 2008/09 season to Scotland Hibernian Edinburgh. After 15 league games, and his exemption to the end of the season 2008/ 09 he returned in December 2009 back to Australia and signed in December 2009 when South Melbourne FC a new contract.
