Joel Glazer

Joel Glazer (born 1970 in Florida) is an American entrepreneur and chairman of Manchester United.

General

Joel Glazer is a member of the Glazer family, which is mainly active on the board of First Allied Corporation. Together with his brother Avram Glazer is the chairman of English football club Manchester United. Both were appointed by her father Malcolm Glazer, the owner of the club, in this position. In addition, Joel Glazer Vice President of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With the NFL club he won as Vice President in 2003 the Super Bowl.

Problems with the ManUtd supporters

On 30 June 2005, he and his brother Avi prevented from leaving the stadium of Manchester United, Old Trafford, by protesters because of the takeover of "their" club. Only an alarmed police escort could the two Americans get out of their predicament.
