Malcolm Glazer

Malcolm Irving Glazer ( born May 25, 1928 in Rochester, New York) is an American businessman and owner of sports clubs. He is president and CEO of First Allied Corporation, a holding company, in its various business segments are bundled. He holds majority shares in the football team Tampa Bay Buccaneers from Florida, which plays in the National Football League. Addition, it owns the English soccer club Manchester United. He is married to Linda and has five sons and one daughter: Avram, Kevin, Bryan, Joel, Darcie and Edward

In March 2003, Malcolm Glazer began buying up shares of Manchester United. It increased its share to 28 percent by 2005, and after much wrangling, the billionaire secured on 12 May 2005 a further 29 percent, which he bought from the Irish businessmen John Magnier and John Paul MacManus. He held the majority and offered for the remaining shares. The total value of its offer was 790 million pounds.
