Joel Melvin Prpic ( born September 25, 1974 in Sudbury, Ontario ) is a Croatian- Canadian professional ice hockey player.

Career

Joel Prpic began his career as a hockey player in the team of the St. Lawrence University, where he was active from 1993 to 1997. Previously, the attacker had already been selected as junior players in the NHL Entry Draft in the ninth round in 1993 when a total of 233 players from the Boston Bruins. For the Bruins Prpic was in the 1997/98 season his debut in the National Hockey League, where he just stood in an NHL game on the ice and the entire rest of the game time at Boston's farm team, the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League, spent. With Providence, he won the Calder Cup the following season.

In the season 1999/2000 he gave three assists for Boston in 14 matches in the NHL before he signed a contract as a free agent with the Colorado Avalanche in August 2000. After the Seibu Prince Rabbits had to withdraw for financial reasons from the alih following the 2008/ 09 season, Prpic signed with KHL Medveščak Zagreb, which had been included in the Austrian Hockey League before the season 2009/10. There he was in the first two seasons EBEL team internally to the best spots collectors. 2011 and 2012 he was also Medveščak Croatian champion. In 2012 he moved to his native Ontario at the Brantford Blast.

Internationally

For Croatia Prpic took part in the World Championship of Division IIA in 2012. During the tournament he scored three goals in five games and ten templates. A year later he went as a captain with the Croatian team to five wins in five games in the Division I and was honored as the best striker of the tournament.
