Joel Sirkis

Joel Serkes (also Sirkis or Sirkes; * 1561 in Lublin, † 1640 in Kraków ) was a Jewish scholar and Dezisor, primarily known for his work Bayit Hadash (abbreviated Bach; " new house " ), Commentary on the door of Jacob b. Ascher.

He also wrote responsa and Talmudic comments. Philosophy he rejected as well as from the method of pilpul and preferred instead the study of Kabbalah.
