Joern Renzenbrink

Joern Renzenbrink ( born July 17, 1972 in Hamburg ) is a former German tennis player.

Life

Renzenbrink was at the age of 18 years German Youth Champion. After completing his graduation, he became a professional tennis player in 1991. On the ATP World Tour, he won at the side of Markus Zoecke a tournament in the doubles competition, 1995 in Newport. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1994 with position 70 in the singles and the following year with position 153 in doubles.

1994 was his most successful year on the ATP World Tour. He had the best individual result at a Grand Slam tournament by reaching the second round at the U.S. Open, he also reached the third round at the Australian Open. His single singles final at an ATP tournament he reached this year, defeated in the Seoul Open against Jeremy Bates but in three sets.

At the age of 27 years Renzenbrink stepped back from professional sports and studied business administration at the University of Hamburg. Renzenbrink now has three sons and lives with his girlfriend in Hamburg. He worked as a financial advisor at MLP AG and has now found its way back to the sport. He works together with the Hamburg talent Carina Witthöft and together with a friend, a child -grade tennis program called "Soul tennis " set up.
