Joey Cavalieri

Joey Cavalieri is an American comic book writer and publishing editor.

Life and work

Cavalieri has been active since 1979 in the comic book industry. Initially he worked from 1979 to 1982 as a freelance writer for the U.S. market giant DC Comics, he received in 1982 a permanent contract as an author. After he wrote for various DC series until 1992, Cavalieri moved as Publishing Editor for its competitor Marvel Comics, before he returned in 1996 to his old employer, where he was promoted to senior editor in 2005.

The supervised by him as an author series include Huntress, The Oz - Wonderland War, The Flash and World's Finest Comics ( DC ) and Marvel 2099 ( Marvel ).

In addition, Cavalieri has been a lecturer at the School of Visual Arts and was nominated from 1997 to 2000 and from 2002 to 2004 from the Comics Buyer's Guide at the annual election the most popular editor (Favorite Editor).
