Johan Jakob Nervander
Johan Jacob nerve Ander ( born February 23, 1805 in Nystad, † March 15, 1848 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish poet, physicist and meteorologist. After studying at the Academy at Turku, where he became friends with Johan Ludvig Runeberg, he invented a galvanometer for small electrical currents, which made him famous. He was the first director of the magnetic observatory of Helsinki.
Nerve the other was one of the founding members of a number of different clubs. These included the Societas pro Fauna et Flora Fennica, the Finnish Literature Society and the Finnish Society of Sciences.
