Johann Georg Ehrlich

Johann Georg Ehrlich ( born October 13, 1676 in Hennersdorf Mrs. Stone, † February 8, 1743 in Dresden) was a Dresden merchant, councilman and founder of the eponymous Ehrlich's Gestifts.

Ehrlich earned his fortune as a tenant of the Council cellar, the Breihahnhauses in the Breite Gasse, white beer house and the city council level. He also operated a hardware store. Ehrlich was an elder of the Dresden Chamber guild and from the year 1740 Dresdner councilor.

In the years 1727-1749 combined Ehrlich and his son Johann Gotthold on the Kötzschenbrodaer vineyard corridor in Loessnitz the three historic vineyards plate, sand Leithe and Wehlsberg for vineyard property Ehrlich, who was to Neufriedstein later, located in today's Radebeul district Niederlößnitz.

In 1743 he founded with a large part of his estate a poor and school foundation.

Honestly lived from 1715 until his death in Töpferstrasse first he was buried on the Johanniskirchhof.

According to him the Ehrlich street is named in the Wilsdruffer suburb.
