John Bailey (agriculturist)

John Bailey ( * 1750, † 1819) was a Scottish farmer. He built towards the end of the 18th century the first plow according to mathematical principles, which was introduced by Albrecht Daniel Thaer also in Germany. His treatise The best possible plow of 1805 was one of the main foundations of agricultural mechanics of the 19th century.
