John Burroughs Association

The John Burroughs Association is a company founded in 1921, is reminiscent of the life and work of the American author and naturalist John Burroughs. It is managed from the office of the American Museum of Natural History. The company owns, among others, the nature reserve " John Burroughs Sanctuary " near West Park the city Esopus, New York. In the nature reserve there is, among other things, the 1895 built of slate hut John Burroughs'.

The John Burroughs Association is editor of the publication The Wake Robin and the lender, the John Burroughs Medal, an award that is given annually to writers who are distinguished by a special work about science.
