John Denniston Patton

John Denniston Patton ( born November 28, 1829 in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, † February 22, 1904 ) was an American politician. Between 1883 and 1885 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

John Patton attended the common schools and worked for some years as Gerber. He then became active in his hometown of Indianapolis in the trade. Politically, he was a member of the Democratic Party. In the congressional elections of 1882 he was in the 25th electoral district of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of James Mosgrove on March 4, 1883.

Since Patton renounced in 1884 on another candidacy, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1885. After his time in the U.S. House of Representatives, he withdrew into retirement. John Patton died on 22 February 1904 in his hometown of Indiana, where he was also buried.
