John Dolmayan

John Dolmayan ( born July 15, 1973 in Beirut, Lebanon) is an American drummer Armenian origin.

Since then the band System of a Down, through which he gained much of his fame, in 1997, dismissed their first drummer, he played alongside Serj Tankian ( singer and keyboardist ), Daron Malakian (guitarist and second vocalist ) and Shavo Odadjian ( bass player ) in these drums. Shortly after System of a Down had be a state hiatus, John Dolmayan went into the Daron Malakian, founded by band Scars on Broadway.

Biography

Dolmayan first moved from Beirut to Toronto before he met in Los Angeles on Tankian, Malakian and Odadjian, befriended them and went into the band System of a Down.

Playing drums was his desire, since he was two years old. When he got as a gift from his father, a first drums used the brand name " Rogers " at the age of 15 years, he also played in several bands with.

Until February 24, 2009 John Dolmayan played along with his band mates Daron Malakian of System of a Down in the band Scars on Broadway.

Dolmayan is in addition to his work as a musician of rare comic books. In March 2009, he auctioned at an internet auction a copy of the first Superman comic books from 1938 for $ 317,000. This is one of the highest prices, which has been previously paid for a comic book.
