John Francis Hackett

John Francis Hackett ( born December 7, 1911 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA; † 30 May 1990) was Auxiliary Bishop of Hartford.

Life

John Francis Hackett received on 29 June 1936, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On December 10, 1952, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Titular Bishop of Helenopolis in Palestine and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Hartford. The Archbishop of Hartford, Henry Joseph O'Brien, donated to him on 19 March 1953, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Manchester, Matthew Francis Brady, and the Archbishop of Baltimore, Francis Patrick Keough.

December 16, 1986 Pope John Paul II accepted the argument put forward by John Francis Hackett resignation for reasons of age.
