Francis Patrick Keough

Francis Patrick Keough ( born December 30, 1889 in New Britain, Connecticut, USA, † December 8, 1961 ) was Archbishop of Baltimore.

Life

Francis Patrick Keough received on 10 June 1916, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On February 10, 1934, he was named by Pope Pius XI. Bishop of Providence. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Giovanni Cicognani Amleto, donated to him on 22 May of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Saint Paul, John Gregory Murray, and the Bishop of Fall River, James Edwin Cassidy.

On 29 November 1947, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Archbishop of Baltimore. The inauguration took place on 24 February 1948.
