John Fraser (actor)
John Fraser ( born March 18, 1931 in Glasgow, United Kingdom ) is a Scottish film and stage actor.
Life and work
Fraser became well-known in the sixties, when he was one of the UK's leading cinema actors. For his role as " Alfred Bruce Douglas " Ken Hughes in The Man with the Green Carnation ( The Trails of Oscar Wilde ), he was nominated for the 1960 British Film Academy Award. Other important roles he played in Anthony Mann's historical film El Cid ( as "King Alfonso " ), and in Roman Polanski Thriller disgust. Later Fraser took over several guest roles on television series. Beginning of the new millennium, he ended his career and now lives in Italy.
