John Harle

John Harle ( born September 20, 1956 in Newcastle upon Tyne ) is an English saxophonist and composer.

Life and career

Harle began his musical career as a clarinetist and served as principal clarinetist in the Concert Band of the Coldstream Guards. He studied saxophone, clarinet and composition at the Royal College of Music. From 1977-1982 he was head of Myrha Saxophone Quartet; he wrote with Sir Paul McCartney on projects such as "Shadow Cycle ", " Standing Stone " crafted and has over 40 film and television productions, scores, and 35 concert works.
