John Lunn

John Lunn ( born May 13, 1956 in Glasgow, Scotland ) is a British composer.

Life

John Lunn studied music at the University of Glasgow and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Later he played at times as a bassist, keyboardist, and composer in the radio band Man Jumping before he came to the film composition on the theatrical work. Since the late 1980s, he composed music mainly for British television productions such as The Wisdom of Crocodiles, Get Real - Man to man and Bleak House. Most recently, he has become known above all for the music of the television series Downton Abbey. In parallel, composed several operas Lunn. So Misper (1997), Zoë (2000) and Tangier Tattoo ( 2006) at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera were listed. With Mathematics of a Kiss he wrote an opera especially for the English National Opera.
