John Moffitt (athlete)

John Moffitt ( born December 12, 1980 in Winnsboro, Louisiana) is an American long jumper.

His breakthrough came in the championships of the National Collegiate Athletic Association in 2004, where he the indoor and the outdoor titles won ( with 8.40 m). A further increase succeeded him at the Olympic Games in Athens, where he won with 8.47 m silver medal behind compatriot Dwight Phillips and Joan Lino Martínez before (ESP).
