John Russell, 4th Earl Russell

John Conrad Russell, 4th Earl Russell ( * November 16, 1921; † 16 December 1987) was a British nobleman and member of the House of Lords.

Life

John Russell was born in 1921 as the son of the philosopher and mathematician Bertrand Russell and his second wife Dora Black.

On 28 August 1946 he married Susan Doniphan Lindsay and adopted its coming from her first marriage, daughter Felicity Anne Russell. From the marriage with Lindsay Two daughters were born. 1955, the marriage ended in divorce.

1970 John Russell inherited his father's title and was now as Earl Russell to the House of Lords until his death on. Since he died in 1987 without a male heir, his title passed to his half-brother, the historian Conrad Russell, over.
