Johnny Adams

Deferred Johnny Adams ( born January 5, 1932 in New Orleans, † September 14, 1998 in Baton Rouge) was an American blues singer. Because of the amazing range of his voice, he was nicknamed " Tan Canary" ( " brown canary "). His style was influenced by gospel music, with which he began his career, but he moved in 1959 to secular music, and ended up with Dorothy La Bostries Composition I Will not Cry an international hit. In 1968 and 1969 was followed by further success with Release Me and Reconsider Me

In the 1980s and 1990s Johnny Adams took several award-winning albums for Rounder Records, which appeared in Germany in large part to censor. In 1997 he was a guest star for the album R B = Ruth Brown. After a long battle with cancer, he died in 1998 in Baton Rouge.
