Johnny Bravo

Johnny Bravo is an American animated television series that was devised by Van Partible and produced by Cartoon Network. The focus of the series is the eponymous hero.

Action

Johnny Bravo embodies the typical stereotype of a macho. He is muscular, very attentive to his appearance, naive, ignorant and arrogant. Obsessive he approaches every attractive woman he meets on an extremely heavy-handed and condescending manner. He has this success almost never, on the contrary mostly due to its outrageous occurrence slapped by the ladies of his desire or attacked in other ways physically. Does he not after this activity, he spends his time mostly with Karate (again, he is grossly overrated ), as well as childish or completely mindless pursuits. In all cases, it is always involved in unpredictable adventure.

Bravo has grown, but lives with his revered mother and goes seemingly at any regular job. He often brings even his abhorrence of this expression. Often he stayed in his favorite snack "pops" or " Pops Moon Palace ".

Supporting Characters

  • Bunny Bravo: Johnny's beloved mother, who has a similar, though not quite as serious naivety. She petted her son and treated him like a child, what Johnny pointed often causes that he was a grown man.
  • Suzy: An eight- year-old girl from the neighborhood, like the Johnny involved in conversations or asking him for a favor. Johnny on the other hand feels more bothered by it, she always tries to rid of and can never remember her name itself.
  • Carl Chryniszzswics: An intelligent, but at the same time also quite naive young man who holds Johnny for a friend, but is downright hated by it. Although Johnny often physically attacking him, he almost never noticed his disgust against him.
  • Pops: The Snack owner is one of the few men who are not treated condescendingly by Johnny. He is Johnny often side with advice, but sometimes it just has its own advantage in mind.

The screenplay of the German dubbed version wrote Bernd Eichner, who also led Dubbing studio.

Production and publication

The series was designed in 1995 by the then 26 -year-old Van Partible. Bravo has been implemented as a mix of James Dean and Elvis Presley, this is what the original voice actor Jeff Bennett with a voice that imitates Presley. This was not included in the German dubbing. Even the look of the figure is modeled on the models, which primarily makes itself in an exaggerated quiff noticeable and the fact that Bravo constantly wearing sunglasses. With a seven-minute episode of the Cartoon Network series was presented, then immediately began production of the first season, which was sent from the 7th July 1997. Over time, many American celebrities appeared in the series, which also speak their own rolls. Furthermore, there were several offshoots sequences, in which Bravo was transferred to the universe of other Cartoon Network series such as Scooby Doo or The Flintstones. A total of 65 episodes were produced in four seasons, which consisted of two to three sub-sequences and a total of 14 short, recurring skits included. Furthermore, there was a Valentine's Day and a Christmas special. The last episode was aired on 27 August 2004.

On 10 October 2007, the really specialized in animes publisher Madman Entertainment released a DVD box set (2 DVDs including ), which includes all 13 episodes of the first season of Johnny Bravo. The distributed exclusively in Australia and New Zealand box is declared on the website of the company as the first of four releases. In April 2009, followed by Season 2

The first broadcast of the German version was made on 17 November 2000 to 25 October 2003 1 at ORF Thereafter, the series has also appeared in Pro Sieben, shown kabel eins and Cartoon Network.
