Johnny Foreigner

Johnny Foreigner is an existing since 2005 three -piece indie rock band from Birmingham, England. They are currently at the British label Alcopop! Records.

History

Before the foundation of the band Alexei Berrow played in the band Panda Love Unit and Kelly Southern Twist. The first Johnny Foreigner lineup consisted of Berrow, Laidley and Daniel Boyle and was loud in his own words a " country band with claim ". Boyle left the band to the university to attend, and currently playing in the group Gentle Friendly. Before leaving the band, they released together WeLeftYouSleepingAndGoneNow 2005, their first self-produced album with a limited edition of 40 pieces, which includes 11 tracks.

Johnny Foreigners first single Sometimes in the Bullring / Camp Kelly Calm was taken under the Laundrette Recording Company and released in October 2006 (300 copies). The second single was a split single with Sunset Cinema Club and includes the song Yes! You Talk Too Fast, and a cover of Sunset Cinema Club Track Ninki. vs. Dingle, in turn, Johnny Foreigners who covered Candles.

After switching to Best Before Records 2007 Johnny Foreigner released the EP Arcs Across the City on 26 November of the same year. The EP received from the well-known British online music magazine Drowned in Sound the top grade of 10 / 10th The third single Our ​​Bipolar Friends / The Houseparty Scene Is Killing You was released on 10 March 2008 and was with nearly 1,000 copies sold out shortly before the show.

Eyes Wide Terrified is the first single from the album Waited Up ' Til It Was Light and appeared on 18 May 2008. Lea Room / DJ 's Get Doubts came on 12 January 2009 on the UK market.

The album Waited Up ' Til It Was Light was released on 2 June 2008 and included in Hoboken (New Jersey). For the North American distribution label Nettwerk is responsible.

On 30 March 2009 Berrow announced during a performance as the opening act of Hundred Reasons her next studio album, which was released under the title of Grace and the Bigger Picture on October 26.

The previously unreleased Track With Who, Who and What I've Got is offered free of charge since May 30 on the official website to download.

Johnny Foreigner work by the end of 2010 to July 2011 on her fourth album and in October 2010 they went along with Los Campesinos! on North American tour. An EP under the name You Thought You Saw a Shooting Star but Yr Eyes Were Blurred With Tears and That Lighthouse Can Be Pretty Deceiving With the Sky So Clear and Sea So Calm was released in November and contains six new songs. In addition, they left Best Before Records and are now the independent label Alcopop! Records. The EP Certain Songs Are Cursed appeared on April 18.

The current album Johnny Foreigner vs.. Everything was released on November 7, 2011.

In April 2012, Lewes Herriot joined as an additional guitarist. He was previously responsible for the graphic design of albums and merchandise.
