Johnny Manziel

Jonathan Paul "Johnny" Manziel (born 6 December 1992, Tyler, Texas) is an American professional American football player at the position of quarterback. He played college football at Texas A & M University in 2012 and won the Heisman Trophy as the first freshman.

High School and College

Manziel was already on the Tivy High School in Kerrville as the best football player among the pupils of his country, he won the title of " National High School Coach Association Football Player of the Year" and was " Texas Associated Press Sports Editors Player of the Year." He ran ahead of such a reputation that the fans dubbed him in 2012 before his first college season with the A & M Aggies "Johnny Football". He is rather small for the position with only 1.85 meters, but running strong. In his first season succeeded him three times to fit more than 500 yards and run. His 5116 yards in the season, most of Heismangewinners that match 47 touchdowns his Heismanvorgänger Robert Griffin III. In the Cotton Bowl won by his team he ran 229 yards, the most yards erlief each of which a quarterback in a bowl. Although the Aggies defeated the later Bowl Championship Series winners, the Alabama Crimson Tide lost, but two season games against other opponents.

On January 8, 2014 Manziel announced that he join the NFL Draft in 2014, and will thus end his college football career after only two years.
