Johnston River

The Johnston River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of Western Australia. It is located in the Kimberley region.
Geography
The river rises in the field of Ruby Plains Station and flows in a northerly direction. It crosses the Duncan Road and leads north of Wungu in Elvire Gorge in the Elvire River.

History
The first European to see the Johnston River, was the surveyor Harry Johnston, who surveyed it in 1884. In 1887 this river of C. Nyulasy, another surveyor, named after him.
