Jon D. Fox

Jon D. Fox ( born April 22, 1947 in Abington, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania) is an American politician. Between 1995 and 1999 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Jon Fox attended until 1965 the Cheltenham High School in Wyncote. Then he studied until 1969 at the Pennsylvania State University. After studying law and his 1975 was admitted as a lawyer, he began to work in this profession. From 1969 to 1975 he was also a member of the Reserve of the U.S. Air Force. In the following years, he held various positions. So he worked among others for the General Services Administration. He was also a guest speaker at Presidential Classroom for Young Americans. Between 1976 and 1984 he was also deputy district attorney. Politically, he joined the Republican Party. Between 1984 and 1990 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Pennsylvania; 1991 to 1994 he was a member of the District Council in Montgomery County. In 1992, he ran unsuccessfully for Congress yet.

In the congressional elections of 1994, Fox was but then in the 13th Election District of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of the Democrat Marjorie Margolies - Mezvinsky on January 3, 1995. After a re-election he was able to complete two terms of office until January 3, 1999. In 1998, he was not confirmed.

In 2004, Jon Fox applied unsuccessfully to return to Congress. He is married and has a son.
