Jón Gunnar Árnason

Jón Gunnar Arnason ( born May 15, 1931 in Reykjavík, † 21 April 1989) was an Icelandic sculptor.

From 1944 to 1946 he studied at the Iceland Academy of Arts in Reykjavík. In 1952, he graduated as an engineer from the Technical University of Reykjavík. From 1965 to 1967 he continued his studies of Fine Arts London Hornsey College of Art (now part of Middlesex University) continued. One of his most famous works is the sculpture "Sun Ride" in Reykjavík.
