Jonas Wallerstedt

Jonas Wallerstedt (born 18 March 1978 in Linköping ) is a Swedish football player.

Career

Wallerstedt began playing football at IK Östria Lambohov. About BK Kenty he came in 1995 to IFK Norrköping. By the descent of the club from the Allsvenskan in 2002, he played for the club in the highest Swedish league. In the spring of 2003, he moved to the beginning of the season to Torpedo Metallurg in the Premjer League, but returned in the summer back to Sweden and signed a contract with the first division club GIF Sundsvall. In 2005 he was nearly the entire season because of a knee injury. For the 2006 season he moved to league rivals IFK Gothenburg and signed a three-year contract valid until 2008. In his second season at the club he became Swedish champion.

Wallerstedt debuted on 27 November 1999 in the Swedish national team, as the selection was defeated 0-1 by the South American country selection. The following year he ran into two other internationals. Previously, he had already contested twelve Under-21 games for Sweden.
