Jonathan Guinness, 3rd Baron Moyne

Jonathan Guinness, 3rd Baron Moyne ( born March 16, 1930) is a British peer, businessman and politician.

Life and career

Guinness is the eldest son of Bryan Guinness, 2nd Baron Moyne. His mother, Diana Mitford was in 1934 divorced her husband and was first the mistress and later the wife of Sir Oswald Mosley. He attended Eton College and then studied at the University of Oxford.

He first worked as a journalist and later as a financial advisor. He was also a 1960-1988 board member of the family group Guinness. From June 1972 to March 1974 he was Chairman of the Monday Club, one of the Conservative Party related, settled it on the right advocacy, so then until the end of 1990 its Vice-Chairman.

On July 6, 1992 Guinness inherited the title of Baron Moyne. He lost his seat in the House of Lords by the House of Lords Act 1999. Guinness is also the author of several books.

Guinness was married twice, his second wife died in 2005. He has two sons and a daughter from his first marriage and a son and another daughter from his second marriage. With a long -term lover, he has three other children.
