Joonas Rask

Joonas Rask (born 24 March 1990 in Savonlinna ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since 2012 at the Nashville Predators under contract since April 2013 for their farm team, the Milwaukee Admirals, playing in the American Hockey League.

Career

Joonas Rask started his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Ilves Tampere, for the first team, he made his debut in the SM- liiga in the 2008 /09 season. Here, the center in 27 games scoring one goal and gave a presentation. In the following season he improved to 19 points scorer in 43 games. Then the Finnish junior national team was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in the seventh round in 2010 when a total of 198 players from the Nashville Predators.

2912 Rask got a NHL One Stieg contract by the Predators, but was borrowed for the season 2012 /13 Jokerit Helsinki. Subsequently, the Predators took him to North America.

Internationally

For Finland, Rask took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2008 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2009 and 2010.
