The Jordal AMFI is a multi-purpose arena in Oslo, Norway.

History

The Jordal Amfi was built a year after the Olympic Winter Games in 1952, where the stadium was the main venue for the ice hockey tournament. Also held a number of decisions in figure skating at the stadium during the Winter Games. The stadium hosted the Ice Hockey World Championship in 1958. Was not until 1971 received the Jordal Amfi a roof structure. At the Ice Hockey World Championship for Men in 1999 in Norway, the Jordal Amfi was next to the Håkon Hall one of the two venues. On the occasion of the tournament, the stadium was previously extended. The stadium is the home ground of the professional ice hockey club Vålerenga Ishockey from the GET ligaen.

Besides ice hockey match at Jordal Amfi handball or floorball games take place. Occasionally, the stadium is also used for boxing matches and concerts.
