Jörg Wontorra

Jörg Wontorra ( born November 29, 1948 in Lübeck ) is a German television presenter and television producer.

Moderator on TV

After law studies, which he broke off after the 3rd semester, Wontorra began his career as a sports journalist for the NDR. From 1982 to 1992 he was head of sport of Radio Bremen, 1984-1992 Moderator ARD sports show. Producer

1992 rose Wontorra in Frank Elstner production company Elstnertainment in Luxembourg, and so gained his first experience as a producer. Since 2005, he has a company that offers courses and seminars for managers.

Activity at Werder Bremen

From 1999 to 2003 Wontorra sat on the board of the Bundesliga side Werder Bremen. After the competent election committee had nominated him for election to the Supervisory Board only as a substitute member, Wontorra withdrew his candidacy.

During his time at Werder Bremen former handball player was responsible for a time the second handball women's team.

In April 2012 Wontorra fell again in connection with Werder in the headlines after he publicly criticized the club.

Social Commitment

In 2003 Wontorra founded the non-profit Hanse Foundation. This supports projects with the three main points in the "classic" Hanseatic cities of Bremen, Hamburg and Lübeck: Education, Youth Services. She wants on the promotion of curricular and extracurricular activities for children and teenagers and provide foster creativity, team spirit and commitment alternatives to passive media company.
