Jorge González (athlete)

Jorge González ( Jorge Luis " Peco " Gonzalez, born December 20, 1952 in Utuado ) is a Puerto Rican marathon runner.

In 1983, he won gold at the Pan American Games and placed it with a 2:12:43 national record on which still exists today (April 2008).

In a marathon, the Olympic Games in 1984, he finished 13th place, and the same year he won the Honolulu Marathon. In 1987 he won the bronze medal at the Pan American Games.

Jorge González is called by his countrymen " Peco " Pecos Bill, the fictional Marvel cowboy.
