Jorge Manicera

Jorge Carlos Fuentes Manicera (* November 4, 1938 in Villa Dolores, Montevideo, † September 18, 2012 ) was a Uruguayan football player.

Club career

Manicera began his club career in 1958 with the Uruguayan club Rampla Juniors. Then he played from 1962 to 1967 for Nacional Montevideo, where he won the Uruguayan championship in 1963, 1966 and 1967 penetrated with the Bolsos in the Copa Libertadores to the finals. The Bolsos he formed with goalie Roberto Sosa and Emilio Álvarez on the defensive. In 1967, he moved to Brazil to Flamengo. There he was in 1967 and 1968 respectively champion and 1970 runner-up.
