Jorge Marcelo Rodríguez Núñez (born 13 January 1985 in Montevideo) is an Uruguayan football player.

Club career

The Japo called linksfüßige midfielder began his career in his native city of Montevideo in Racing in 2003 in the Segunda División, where he came up with eight scoreless appearances in his debut season, and played there until 2004. Afterwards he changed in 2005 within the city to Fénix, returned but in 2006 returned back to his previous club. His league debut at the Aurinegros he celebrated on August 17, 2013 in the 2:4 defeat for the season opener against River Plate. He also drew directly responsible as a scorer for the temporary 1:2 scoreboard.

National

His debut in the Uruguayan national football team, he celebrated on 20 August 2008 in a friendly against Japan, when he came off the bench in 84 minutes for Luis Suárez. His first of only two starting missions as part of his international career, dated October 20, 2009, when he ran aground against Ecuador from the start in his fourth international match in the World Cup qualifiers. Overall, Rodríguez completed until his last mission on 3 March 2010 in a 3-1 away win against Switzerland seven A- international matches. He remained without their own scoring.

Others

On September 29, 2013 caused Japo Rodríguez according to the police with his Chevrolet Captiva in clear influence of alcohol in an accident on the Rambla, in which, however, he only wore them minor injuries. He pointed to a the allowed limit tenfold border value in the breath control.
