Jorge Otero

Jorge Otero Bouzas ( born January 28, 1969 in Nigrán, Pontevedra Province ) is a former Spanish football defender.

Career

From 1987 Otero played in the team of the then first division club Celta Vigo. He got the next seven years in Vigo under contract, where he played 222 games in the Liga Primera and Segunda. The team was relegated in 1990 from the second division, but returned two years later in the Primera División back.

Starting in 1994, followed by three years at Valencia, with the Otero 1996 Spanish runner-up, and additional stations at Betis Sevilla and Atlético Madrid. From 2003 to 2005 Otero let his career fade away at second division Elche.

In the Spanish national team Otero was active from 1993 to 1996, where he played nine games. He took two years later part in both the 1994 World Cup as well as at the European Championships.
