José Ãngel GurrÃa
José Ángel Gurría Treviño ( born May 8, 1950 in Tampico, Mexico) is 2006 OECD Secretary-General since June 1.
From 1998 to 2000 he was Finance Minister, 1994-1998 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.
He participated in the negotiations with the OECD accession of Mexico, which took place in 1994, and served as part of competent Minister in 1999, the OECD Council of Ministers.
In 2010 he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Haifa.
