José Antonio Castro

José Antonio Castro González ( born August 11, 1980 in Mexico City) is a Mexican football player.

After major injury default in the root cadres Castro came the Mexican Club América on 25 February 2001 on his debut in the Primera División de México. The following year, he was often in use and in the third year, he belonged to the tribe of the capital club squad in the position of right-back. On more than 150 caps for his club, he brought it in the first six years and in 2005 he had his biggest success by winning the league title in the Clausura and the subsequent profits of the North American Club Championship, the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

In 2003 he was discovered by the new national team coach Ricardo La Volpe and took him into the national team, but his time was not yet come. After five games, followed by a longer pause, and until the end of 2005, in preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany, he came back into use. As a substitute for the defense he was in the World Cup squad in Mexico.
