José Luis Abajo

Jose Luis Abajo Gómez ( born June 22, 1978 in Madrid ) is a Spanish fencer.

Abajo won the team competition at the World Fencing Championship in 2006 together with his team-mates Ignacio Canto, Juan Castañeda and Eduardo Sepulveda Puerto silver medal. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he defeated Hungary Gábor Boczkó and won bronze. In 2009, José Luis Abajo also won a bronze medal in épée individual at the World Championships in Antalya.
