José Luis García Sánchez

José Luis García Sánchez ( born September 22, 1941 in Salamanca ( Castilla y León) ) is a Spanish film director and screenwriter.

García Sánchez also worked as a producer and actor (eg Colorín colorado (1976 ) ). His work has been twice awarded the Goya: In 1993 he received the award together with Rafael Azcona and Fernando Trueba in the category " Best Original Screenplay " for Belle Epoque. 1994, again with Rafael Azcona, in the category " Adapted Screenplay " for Tirano Banderas. In 2004 he filmed the biography of the Spanish philosopher and poet María Zambrano under the title María querida.
