Jose Rubin Statham

Jose Rubin Statham ( born April 25, 1987 in Auckland ) is a New Zealand tennis player.

Career

Jose Statham plays mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Futures Tour. He has so far eight single and celebrate nineteen double victories on the Future Tour. Its highest ranking in the world rankings was the 279th rank in the single in February 2013 as well as in double the 139th rank in June 2013.

His debut on the ATP World Tour he gave in January 2008 in Auckland, where he lost his first round game against Albert Montanes in straight sets. The first victory he also succeeded in Auckland, in 2010, he won against his compatriot Daniel King-Turner the first round match in straight sets.

Since 2005 he plays for the New Zealand Davis Cup team. His first game in the encounter with the United States, he lost in straight sets against Scott Lipsky.
